Dear Jürgen, I hope you’re doing well. I have a quick question on the DXF Export and would appreciate your input. When exporting/saving a GDS File with Paths inside as DXF I get weird artifacts that I do not understand. I attached you an example image how it is supposed to look in LayoutEditor and the resulting DXF in QCAD. The error is persistent regardless of the software used for opening the DXF. Some of the points get "lost" and I do not understand why. Maybe a little clarification what the underlying problem is: if I do not enable "save arc segments as bulge and arc entity" or export as polygon instead of paths, the resulting shapes are not closed. Using the "save arc segments as bulge and arc entity" the shapes are closed but some points are missing. Can you help me out here? Best regards, Kai

Thursday 5th February 2026 Hi Kay, can you supplier the corresponding GDS file per email (to support @ layouteditor dot com ). There seems to be a misdetection of the arc in your example. That needs to be debuged and fixed. Anyway the polygon should be closed. With an example we can debug this as well.
