In the setup under Macro/macro-directory you can set a folder with macros inserted into the menu. The tree structure of this folder will determine the location of macro: e.g. if you add /home/me/mymacros to the mentioned setting, a macro under /home/me/mymacros/layout/Utilities/ will be added to the layout windows in the Utilities menu.
