Window freezes after trying to load background image

Hi, I'm on build 20200801 on MacOS 10.15.6. When I try to set a background image, after selecting and opening the image, the window just freezes up. All the menu items gray out, cannot zoom/scroll/click inside the layout window. Can't even resize the window. I've tried a few different images and image formats, and the same behavior happens. Anybody else seen this? Thanks

yes I can confirm that. The file dialog choosing the images crashes on MacOS systems. It will be fixed with the today development release of the LayoutEditor 20201006 or newer.
