Layer name not saved with GDS file

Hi, in the setup >Fileformat> GDS II, I ticked "store layer names. But, every time I open the file, all the layer information (layer name,disabled layers) will lost and have to re-setup. What I did wrong? Any advice? Thanks a lot!

Thursday 16th July 2020 Looks correct so far. Please note that the option 'store layer names' must be enabled while storing and loading the file. It will store name color and fill style of the layer, but is will not store if it was visible or not during save.

Tuesday 28th July 2020 I still have this problem. The layer name can't be saved with GDS file. I got this option "store layer names" enabled but when I save a file it shows me a warning message "1075 shape on disabled layer not saved".

Tuesday 28th July 2020 That error message has nothing to do with storing layer names. Layer names are the connection between a shapes on a layer with a number and the name of this layer. The error message "disabled layer not saved" means that there are shapes on a layer that you have disabled. These shapes will not be displayed and its layer will not be shown in the list of layers. To avoid this warning you have two option: * disable the option "only save enabled layers" in the setup of the GDS file format * enable the used layer, a right click in the layer window followed by a "enable all layers" will do that
