Boolean Operation to join two sells A+B with delete A,B

Hi, I'm new here. I tried merge two sells A and B with the Boolean Operation A+B with delete A,B. However, after operation both A and B were disappeared. What's wrong? can I join two sells? Any advice? Thanks a lot!!!

The normal Boolean operation you have used works on shapes (polygons, paths and boxes). It will ignore the content of referred cells.
To perform layer wide operation not respecting cell hierarchie, you need to use the BoolOnLayer feature which is part of the full version of the LayoutEditor only.

I see. I'm using the "Reduced" version which doesn't support BoolOnLayer. Thanks!
