How to copy and move a special pattern on a layer?

When I would like to use a special pattern to different gds file, how must I select the special pattern, copy/move to different gds file? For your understanding, I hope to attach a file or pictures here. But I can't do that. Please let me know the methodology.)

You can copy parts of a gds file to another gds by selecting and control+C and paste by control+V. If the copied part is very big you may use the file/attach feature. That will add any shape of the attached file to the previous open one. You can delete the con required parts afterwards.
