When opening a DWG only a message pop up to use a conversion tool. Can't LayoutEditor handle DWG directly?

Please install the linked conversion tool to its default location. If an installation of the tool is found by the LayoutEditor, it will be used internally by the LayoutEditor and you will be able to open/save DWG without any additional step.

One such file converter is the ODA File Converter (formerly Teigha File Converter) which works on windows, mac, or linux: https://www.opendesign.com/guestfiles/oda_file_converter

The converter was renamed recently from **TeighaFileConverter** to **ODAFileConverter**. For a fully automatic DWG handling with the LayoutEditor please make sure that the converter is reachable with its former name **TeighaFileConverter** (add a link or rename it). The new name **ODAFileConverter** will automatic detected with release 20190406 and newer of the LayoutEditor only. Anyway you can convert the DWG manual to DXF with the converter and open/save the DXF file with the LayoutEditor.
