Maximum zoom in setting?

Is it possible to set the maximum zoom in size? At the moment, I can only zoom to around 150 µm by 70 µm window size, but that's not enough for the current layout. I need to work at a higher resolution.

The maximum zoom is determined by the resolution of the design. By default the resolution (also called database units) is set to 1nm, that means that 1nm is the smallest possible distance and anything can only be a multiple of that value (2nm, 3nm, but not 2.5nm). In that case the maximal zoom is limited in a way that one database unit in distance is zoomed in about 10 pixel of the screen. Any higher zoom will not bring more details. With a typical screen resolution this will result in a maximal zoom of about 2µm window size. The database units are stored with any GDS design. In your case it seems that it is set to a far higher value, may be to 1µm. You can adjust the database units in the setup under setup/design/database_units. But be careful in adjusting it. GDS is limited to 32 bit. So with a 1nm resolution it is limited to a workspace of +-2m. A smaller database units will reduce this size in the same way.

Thank you - indeed, the resolution for this design was set to 1 µm. Thank you very much!
