Our gds size is increasing upto 700mb from 1mb when we run DRC. Any quick solution to control this as the layout window hangs and later ask for forcibly quits.
We tried removing the error layer in DRC once which removed this error and gds size came to 1 mb . But later now no DRc error layer is present but still gds2 size is increased upto 600mb.

Can you give me some more informations:
Did you run a single DRC check or a complete rule set? Do you know which kind of check make the file so big? How many violation are detected?
How did you remove the violation marks? Did you use the 'clear DRC' feature inside the DRC windows (right next to the illustraction graphical check box)?
